I
am in pain now, how long will I have to wait to get an appointment?
Generally
we are able to schedule an appointment for our new and current
patients the same day.
If
I need to come in for treatment am I going to have to take time off
from work?
For
the convenience of our patients we have late office hours so that
you can come in after your regular work day.

Will
the treatment hurt?
Generally
there is no discomfort at all, though the area being treated may be
tender. Most patients feel some relief from the very first adjustment.

Will
my insurance cover my treatment?
In
most cases insurance plans will cover chiropractic care, and Dr.
Stein is a provider for most insurance companies and HMOs including
Blue Cross/ Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts, Medicare and many
others. Our staff is always happy to verify your coverage.

How
much will this cost?
For
our patients who do not have insurance coverage we have a special
program "Healthcare Made Affordable". Our uninsured
patients find that this program enables them to afford the
chiropractic care they need.

Will
it be necessary to take x-rays?
Depending
on Dr. Stein's findings after the preliminary exam he will determine
whether or not you need spinal x-rays. During the x-ray process we
will use all precautions including high speed film and lead
protection to minimize your exposure to the x-ray.

What
methods or techniques does Dr. Stein use?
Dr.
Stein has experience with many techniques and will use the one that
is best suited for your individual needs. These techniques include
full spine diversified, low force adjustment, Cox distraction and Chiropractic
BioPhysics.

Is
chiropractic care only of benefit to adults with neck and back pain?
Though
many people come to our practice because of neck and back pain Dr.
Stein has many patients in his practice, including children
and expectant mothers, who
report improvement in conditions as varied as: migraines;
diabetes; asthma;
high blood pressure and digestive
disorders. Chiropractors remove spinal nerve interference caused
by vertebrae which are out of alignment, a very common condition that
chiropractors refer to as a subluxation.
